Repetition

O endless chain of Greek diners,
I find you near every job I take.
Can the same people be in each place?
They seem the same,
cursing the same job,
raving to a stranger
about the cheap lunch,
the same shifty eyes
prying curiously,
trying to see what I’m writing.
